Uganda company search, check & credit report

Verify any registered Ugandan company — investigated in-country and delivered in English.

Uganda is a landlocked East African Community member with significant activity in coffee, tea, cotton, fisheries and an emerging oil sector around Lake Albert. Companies are registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), and the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) issues the TIN. The Commonwealth-style framework, English-language filings and the substantial role of regional East African groups make verification accessible and meaningful for cross-border procurement.

What our Uganda company report includes

Our Uganda reports draw on sources including the URSB company register, the URA tax authority, the Bank of Uganda for regulated entities, the Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU) for oil-sector counterparties, and the High Court; fees may apply for certain records. Coverage of any individual source depends on what the subject company has filed and what is publicly accessible at the time of the search. English-language filings are presented directly.

Note on Ugandan data: Uganda's emerging oil sector, the Lake Albert basin and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project to Tanga, Tanzania, has substantially increased overseas commercial interest. Petroleum-sector counterparties require additional verification through the Petroleum Authority of Uganda (PAU).

Why verify a Ugandan company?

Uganda's Commonwealth-style framework and the URSB register make basic verification reasonably straightforward, with the URA Tax Clearance Certificate functioning as a widely used proxy for active good standing. The country's emerging oil sector and the EACOP project have substantially increased overseas commercial interest: petroleum-sector counterparties require PAU-licence verification alongside the standard URSB check. For non-oil sectors, group-structure analysis (East African Community group exposure) and on-the-ground verification of trading premises add the most value.
