For most credit and procurement decisions on Swedish counterparties, registry data alone provides a strong basis. The areas that warrant additional enquiry are operating reality (Sweden has a higher-than-average density of small AB entities used as professional contracting or holding vehicles by individuals, so identifying whether an AB is an active trading business or a personal services company is sometimes the first step); the audit-exemption thresholds (smaller ABs may not require an auditor, which limits independent assurance of the figures filed); and Kronofogden enforcement records, which often appear before formal insolvency filings.
