Philippines company search, check & credit report

Verify any registered Philippine company — investigated in-country and delivered in English.

The Philippines is a major outsourcing and BPO destination, a growing manufacturing alternative to China, and a market where English-language documentation can give an unwarranted feeling of comfort. SEC and DTI records are good as far as they go, but financial filings are limited and trading-status verification is where most overseas counterparties get caught out.

What our Philippines company report includes

Our Philippines reports are researched directly from sources including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) business name records, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) registration and on-the-ground enquiry through our established Philippine network; fees may apply for certain records. Depth of any given section reflects what the subject company has filed and what is publicly retrievable at the time of the search.

Why verify a Philippine company?

The Philippines combines a familiar legal system, widespread English-language business documentation, and a large young workforce, all of which make it a natural sourcing and outsourcing destination, but also make it easy for overseas buyers to skip the verification step they would not skip elsewhere in Southeast Asia. The most common problem is not fraud but capability mismatch: a small corporation with a well-presented website and persuasive English-language communication may have neither the production capacity nor the financial covenant to deliver what is being promised.

SEC records confirm registration, directors and capital, and the corporation's SEC General Information Sheet (where filed) gives a useful baseline. Where this falls short is on actual trading status and financial strength. Audited Financial Statements are filed by larger and listed entities; many smaller corporations file the bare minimum, and sole proprietorships registered only with DTI file nothing financial at all. Our agents can help close the gap by researching the available records to establish operating premises and trading activity, and may ask the company for supplementary information such as headcount, which it may or may not choose to provide.

For BPO providers, manufacturers and distribution partners, an investigated report is the standard pre-contract check. It surfaces the questions English-language presentation alone cannot answer.
