Cuba company search, check & credit report

Verify any registered Cuban company — investigated in-country and delivered in English.

Cuba operates a largely state-owned commercial environment with a growing but still small private (cuentapropista) sector. Most commercial counterparties are state enterprises or joint ventures registered with the Cámara de Comercio de la República de Cuba and supervised by the Ministry of Economy and Planning. Commercial reality for any US-linked counterparty is shaped by the long-standing US embargo.

What our Cuba company report includes

Our Cuba reports draw on sources including the Registro Mercantil (commercial register, Ministry of Justice), the Cámara de Comercio de la República de Cuba for the registry of foreign-company branches and representations and the importer/exporter registry, the National Office of Statistics (ONEI), and accessible state-enterprise records; fees may apply for certain records. Depth of any given section reflects what the subject company has filed and what is publicly retrievable at the time of the search.

Cuba's principal commercial register is the Registro Mercantil, administered by the Ministry of Justice (MINJUS) under the Commercial Code and Decreto-Ley 226/2001; the Cámara de Comercio de la República de Cuba separately maintains the National Registry of Branches and Agents of Foreign Mercantile Companies and the Register of Importers and Exporters, registering foreign commercial representations rather than domestic companies, while newly created entities also obtain a registration code from the National Statistics Office (ONEI).

Why verify a Cuban company?

Cuba's commercial environment is structured around state enterprises supervised by sectoral ministries and the OSDE state-holding system, with a smaller MIPYME private sector emerging since 2021. For any US-linked counterparty, the sanctions environment is dominant context, and the CACR, the SDN list and the Cuba Restricted List together cover a substantial part of the Cuban formal economy, particularly GAESA-affiliated entities.
